Five Stands, One Access System

JE approached the project as a system-level partner rather than a product supplier, engineering five coordinated stands — Nose, Forward Fuselage, Crown, Aft Fuselage, and Tail — each operating independently while integrating into one unified access system supporting simultaneous work across the aircraft.

Five Design Decisions, Specified

Two of the five carry hard numbers, which is unusual for this content set — a rated capacity and a stated travel range, both quoted per stand rather than for the system as a whole.

1,500 lb Capacity, 24″ of Adjustability, 5 Integrated Stands

By engaging while the facility was still conceptual, JE delivered a system aligned with day-one operations — eliminating inefficiencies before they occurred and enabling multiple crews to work the aircraft simultaneously without access limitations.

Every stand in the system is rated to 1,500 lb capacity with 24 inches of vertical travel, engineered as five coordinated platforms functioning as a single access system across the P-8 Poseidon airframe.
