01 Capabilities

Engineering as a Capability, Not Just a Step Before Manufacturing

JE Technology Solutions maintains an in-house Structural Design and Analysis capability within its Aerospace & Defense (A&D) Division — engineering expertise that exists as its own capability, not only as a preliminary step before a part reaches the shop floor.

This work is led by Principal Engineer Adrian Little, who brings 20+ years of engineering experience, a Design for Six Sigma Green Belt certification, and Certified SolidWorks Professional credentials to structural design and analysis work.

JE's engineering team supports projects requiring structural validation, CAD modeling, or engineering drawings — whether or not manufacturing ultimately happens at JE's Apopka, Florida facility.

02 What the capability includes

What Does JE's Engineering Capability Include?

JE's engineering capability includes structural design, engineering analysis, and CAD modeling — the technical work needed to validate that a design will perform as intended, whether it's headed to JE's own production floor or being handed off elsewhere.

03 Two ways to engage

Not every engineering need ends with JE building it

JE Technology Solutions provides structural design and analysis — CAD modeling, engineering drawings, and validation — as a standalone capability, available on its own or as part of a larger project.

Route A · you are here Engineering only

The engineering deliverable itself

Structural design, analysis, and CAD modeling. A project needing only the engineering work would start here.

Route B Engineering-through-Delivery

The complete journey

JE's full process for taking a concept through engineering, manufacturing, and final delivery. A project needing the complete journey would look at Engineering-through-Delivery.

04 Where JE excels

Where JE Excels

Because JE's engineering team is credentialed and experienced beyond what a typical fabrication shop maintains in-house, structural design and analysis work is held to the same rigor whether or not it results in a JE-manufactured product.

A1 · Advantage

Credentialed engineering leadership

Principal Engineer Adrian Little's Design for Six Sigma Green Belt and Certified SolidWorks Professional credentials reflect a level of formal engineering rigor not every contract manufacturer maintains in-house.

A2 · Advantage

The same standard as the floor

JE's documented quality management applies to structural design and analysis work, not only to what happens on the manufacturing floor.

A3 · Advantage

A dedicated Aerospace & Defense engineering division

JE's A&D Division exists specifically for structural design and analysis work, rather than treating engineering as an informal step handled by whoever is available.

05 Technical & operational FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Four answers on scope, software, and how an engineering-only engagement differs from the full delivery route.

Speak to the engineering team directly about scope.

Q01

Does JE offer engineering services without manufacturing the final product?

JE's structural design and analysis capability can support projects independent of manufacturing, though most of JE's engineering work is performed in connection with a manufactured deliverable. Confirm current scope of standalone engineering-only engagements with JE's team.

Q02

How is Engineering different from Engineering-through-Delivery?

This page covers the engineering deliverable itself — structural design, analysis, and CAD modeling. Engineering-through-Delivery describes JE's full process for taking a concept through engineering, manufacturing, and final delivery. A project needing only the engineering work would start here; a project needing the complete journey would look at Engineering-through-Delivery.

Q03

What software and standards does JE's engineering team use?

JE's engineering team develops and validates designs in advanced CAD/CAM software before they move into production, and its Principal Engineer holds Certified SolidWorks Professional credentials. The specific software and standards applied to a given project are confirmed at engineering review.

Q04

What kind of engineering problems does JE typically solve?

Structural design and analysis for access equipment, maintenance platforms, and fall protection systems across aerospace, defense, and general industrial applications — often involving unique geometry, load requirements, or facility-specific constraints.

06 Projects

Related Projects and Case Studies

JE's engineering capability has supported projects requiring original structural analysis for relocation and adaptation challenges, as well as novel access-equipment engineering for specialized facility applications.
