Three Maintenance Zones, Worked at Once

Nellis needed safe elevated access, aircraft-specific fit, lightweight construction, and durability suited to a high-tempo training environment — with coverage across fuselage, wing, and engine maintenance zones simultaneously.

Three Stand Types, One System

JE worked directly with Nellis maintainers, supervisors, and stakeholders throughout the design process, then designed and manufactured a complete all-aluminum maintenance access system — fuselage stands, leading and trailing edge wing stands, and engine access stands — functioning as one integrated system rather than separate platforms.

JE also supported full installation, configuration verification, operational readiness inspections, and hands-on maintainer training covering equipment operation, safe work practices, and platform movement — ensuring the system could be used safely from day one.

A Purpose-Built System Where No Commercial Alternative Existed

The finished system gave Nellis maintainers full-aircraft access built around real maintenance workflows developed in direct collaboration with base personnel — lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and durable enough for sustained training-base operations.

JE designed, manufactured, installed, and trained maintainers on a complete all-aluminum access system for a platform with no available commercial equivalent — demonstrating full lifecycle support from concept through operational training at an active USAF training base.
